Daily/Weekly
  • Maintain a Learning Log

  • Work in Writing Response Groups

  • Take and post eMinutes

  • Contribute to weekly potlucks

  • Serve on one of the following committees: coffee/tea, potluck, guest day

  • Read professional publications

  • Discuss theory, research, and practice

  • Challenge teaching practices

  • Examine State Standards, assessment mandates, and proscribed curriculum

  • Work independently and in groups on publications and presentations

 
Publications and Presentations
  • Complete one or more Educational Inquiry paper(s) for submission to eAnthology

  • Develop and present a Teaching Inquiry Workshop during the ISI

  • Complete a Research Analysis or Research Action Project with Bibliography (due at the Spring Conference)

  • $800 to be paid upon completion of the Invitational Summer Institute

Fees
  • $20 to join the National Writing Project

  • (optional) $480 for 6 units of Continuing Education college credit for Invitational Summer Institute

  • (optional) $160 for 2 units of Continuing Education college credit for academic year follow-through activities

  • $100 facility fee for those not seeking optional units
